Our NH State Constitution states:

  • Article 10. Government being instituted for the common benefit, protection, and security, of the whole community, and not for the private interest or emolument of any one man, family, or class of men; [
  • Article 31. The Legislature shall assemble for the redress of public grievances and for making such laws as the public good may require.

As citizens and residents of NH, we elect 400 members to the NH House of Representatives coming from 204 legislative districts across the state. Each member represents approximately 3300 NH residents. There are 233 Democrats and 167 Republicans in the 2018-2020 biennial session, with each member receiving $200 for their 2 year term plus $3/day for travel. The NH State Senate consists of 24 members, currently 14 Democrats and 10 Republicans, who receive the same compensation. These are men and women who truly want to serve their constituents.

They are volunteers. Please treat them with the respect they deserve. They review and vote on approximately 1000 bills each session.

We ask that you take these important actions:

  1. Please contact your Legislator letting them know that you believe that the facts indicate that “Legalized Marijuana is the greatest threat to NH youth and residents”. Please copy or share your opinion with Governor Sununu who has promised to veto the legislation.
  2. Use social media ( twitter, facebook, etc. ) to let your family and friends to know the dangers of marijuana. Share Is Recreational Marijuana good for NH?”
  3. Please contact others in your community (i.e. the Chamber of Commerce, the School Board, the community organizations that you volunteer at, your local church, your local hospital, and Police Department. Ask each of them to stop Legalization to save NH Lives.
  4. Consider volunteering to help us defeat legalization.

You can also contact the NH Democratic Leadership and the NH Democratic Party at office nhpd.org or (603) 225-6899.

We are asking you to get involved because once Recreational Marijuana becomes law, there is no going back.
